If you’re looking for an explanation, go read the 2020 do-over, it’s at the top.

ORIGINAL DRAFT

DO-OVER DRAFT

Shenron’s Wish: This draft marked the shift back to team defenses, which is why there's so much orange. It also marked the first time that if you were trading a draft pick you didn't have to get a draft pick in return. That's why Bryar only had three picks. He traded 1.01 to me for Lamar Jackson and Dallas Goedert. Warren went in the 2022 do-over as well, but in the third round. He definitely goes in the second round for 2023 and shores up Bryar's biggest need in 2023 (he had four receivers post 70 or more points, but only two Running Backs). It would've been between Reed and Pierce at 3.02, with Reed getting the edge because his presence in 2024 would've been the bigger boost. As for the defenses, I used a combination of what they did in 2023 and what they've done from 2023-2025, and gave them rankings based on that. Minnesota was the next team up at 4.01, and you can assume the same for every other defense taken; they were the next best on my quick rankings.

Noobmaster69: Addison is the next best player available and we stick with BPA for Simon's squad. Rice all the way down at 2.10 is probably going to raise some eyebrows. First, let's cover the stats. Rice has never had 1000 yard season. As a matter of fact, he's only had one year over 600 yards, and the most touchdowns he's had was 7. Second, let's cover why. Between the knee injury in 2024, and the off-field antics he's missed 22 games over the last two seasons. The reason some would say he should go way higher than this is because he's a high points per game guy. But you as the team taking him are also taking on the risk that he's going to miss time (especially with the recent nonsense). So, 2.10 makes it a low risk, high reward situation, and keeps him from being someone you would be relying heavily on. And Zack Moss to close it out because Moss was a rotational flex starter for Simon in 2023, and with no Pacheco he would've been a regular starter.

Fantasy Fairies: Easily the best 1-5 of any of these do-over drafts. Nacua is the #1 in almost any other draft, and easily could be in this draft if the bigger need for my team was at Receiver. JSN might be the NFL's reigning OPOY, but Nacua has outscored him by 102 points (using modern scoring). We're basically guaranteed to see Dowdle appear on the 2024 do-over as well. His 2023 season wouldn't have mattered to Ryan, but what he did in 24 and 25 would've made him Ryan's RB2 and RB3 respectively. And then there's Jake Ferguson. He used pick 2.03 on Kincaid in the original draft, but he hasn't really panned out yet. Ferguson would've been a better starter for him in 2023, and he had a really good 2025 which would've given Ryan a better version of the 2 Tight End set he was trying to run most of '25.

Michael Style: The first pick remains the same, especially after what JSN just did in 2025. He kicks off the QB run with Mayfield who had good results in '23 and '25, but that '24 season is the crown jewel. None of the QBs taken after him in the do-over have had even remotely close to a single season output like Mayfield had in 2024. His presence in 2023 would've made the need to include Kyler Murray in that trade he did with Rob less necessary.

NUKEM: Achane at 5 would be crazy value, and the RB1 that Rob has been searching for. Cousins got hurt in 2023. Purdy took over as his QB1 and played well, but Love would've been the better replacement option. And having Love and Purdy might've given him the opportunity to take McConkey at 2.01 in 2024 rather than Daniels. Josh Downs' stock is trending up. His stats dipped last year, and he hasn't really played at a level to work into the starting lineup to date, but there's hope he'll make a big leap as a full-time starter for Indy in 2026. Fun part about a do-over, Alec Pierce is currently Rob's young depth piece, but he went back at 3.08 here, so Downs becomes that piece.

Space Rangers: I'm pretty sure Nathan would agree with me in that neither of us would do anything different with our first picks in this draft. Bijan is a staple on my team and will remain so for years to come. At 6, given my needs, I can afford to go BPA between RB and WR. Flowers is that man, and he's improved on his numbers in each season so far. QB was definitely a need, but taking one of the big 3 from this draft in the first would've been a reach. Stroud has struggled some since his rookie season, but he would've been a huge help in 2023. And Thielen would've scored enough to be my WR1 in 2023.

Ferocious Felines: Fred needed a TE1. He still needs a TE1. McBride was a top ten guy at the position in 2023, top 3 in 2024, and the #1 guy in 2025. In the other do-overs there's been several "round 2" guys that at least gave you two solid seasons of production before disappearing, not the case with this one. Pacheco's big 2023 season would've really helped Fred, and he's still young, he could still rebound. And a Kicker in the fourth! Jake Elliott is the only Kicker to ever go in one of our drafts. Brandon Aubrey is perhaps the only Kicker who ever should've gone in one of our drafts. His 2023 season was on par with the #2 Tight End that season, and would've landed him in the top 25 at Receiver, and top 20 at Running Back.

Kade’s Dawgs: With McBride out of the question, Curt needed a Tight End for 2023, and who better than the rookie that would walk away as the TE1. He has dropped off since then, but that's for 2024 Curt to figure out. Like Pacheco, Ford had that one really big year and then tapered off. Also like Pacheco, he's still pretty young. Unlike Pacheco, the situation he's in now is far less promising. Alec Pierce because Curt could've really used him in 2025.

ay_Bilat: Trey's need at RB has been well covered. Brown in the first because of what he did in 2024 and 2025, while Edwards in the second would've given him an actual RB2 for 2023. It would be another year before Shakir broke out, but worth the pick in the fourth since some of his starters are getting old, and he's missed on some youth picks at the position in recent years.

Fear Itself: Gibbs is and should still be the pick for him at 2, he's been too valuable for him. A good trio of backs is useful, Nathan had that going in 2024 with Gibbs, Aaron Jones and Chase Brown. Brown going in the first in this do-over means someone else is needed. Enter Charbonnet. He also would've provided another RB3/Flex option for the 2025 season. And I went Johnston over Tank Dell at 4.10. Dell was a way better option in 2023, but that knee injury in 2024 was nasty, plus it was the second major lower body injury he's had since entering the league, and for a player of his size and play style you have to be concerned about his future outlook with those injuries. Johnston has been improving since that bad rookie season, but he's topped out at just under 750 yards. The touchdowns have carried him through though, the only concern would be have we seen him reach his ceiling? He's still young though, and healthy, so he's a good value pick at the end.
