2025 Championship Week Dynasty Recap: A Fitting End
This league has severely underperformed in the points scoring department this season, so it seems only right that the championship would result in the first title game to land itself in the top ten list for lowest scoring matchups. Here’s the full recap and a little extra at the end:
Championship
Fear Itself 97.58 over ay_Bilat 74.92
Six total players in this entire game scored double-digit points and 5 of them were on Nathan’s team. Josh Allen led the way, to the surprise of no one, and Nathan took home his third league championship before any other coach got their second. The only player who bothered to show up for Trey this week was CMC. Mahomes got hurt and Trey’s team disappeared in the two games since (I feel your pain Trey).
3rd PLACE GAME
Michael Style 133.58 over Shadow Legion 127.48
These two teams have to be even more upset with their performances last week after seeing how the championship game played out. Crazy to think that had Alex just lost that game to Matthew in week 14, he would be holding up his second league trophy. Both of these teams came to play, looking to end their seasons on a high note, and even though Shadow Legion lost, I’d still say putting up 127 to close out is a high note.
CONSOLATION Championship
Space Rangers 150.70 over Bolt Battalion 90.98
Since Joe Burrow returned to my lineup I’ve gone 3-1 and haven’t scored less than 109 points. And now, thanks to Bijan’s insane performance on Monday night, I finish off the year with my best game and the consolation championship. Matthew, a few changes to some lineup decisions during the year and you would’ve won the actual championship (you’ll all see that in the PowerPoint), but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
9th PLACE GAME
Storm Surge 120.04 over Kade’s Dawgs 104.72
The Dawgs were pulling out all the stops to try and get that first win against Joel, even going as far as bringing in a new QB (the right call), but it wasn’t enough. The sky was filled with booming sounds like “DRAKE…..MAYE” and “CHARB…..ONNET”, and it had those puppies whimpering and running for cover. On the plus side, Shough and Burden look like a couple of young sleepers for a Dawgs squad in need of a little overhaul heading into year 8.

The NFL Draft and then our Dynast Draft!
Things are potentially going to be a little different this offseason when it comes to trades. We’re moving to Sleeper(!), so if you haven’t downloaded the app onto your phone and setup a login for it, I would encourage you to do that the first free moment you get because I’ll be sending out invites to each of your emails in the next couple days. With the move to Sleeper, we are supposed to have access to our teams year round (take that Yahoo!), which means you shouldn’t need to go through me for trades, but you will want to make sure your notifications are on for the app, so you get notified when a trade needs to be voted on. Bonus, Sleeper is supposed to allow you to do the draft, regardless of how many players are on your roster, you’ll just have to trim down to the 21 player limit before it will allow you to make any further moves post-draft. The only thing I’m unsure of at this time is whether or not I can adjust who owns what pick going into the 2026 draft. Hoping to figure out if I can get that sorted as soon as everyone gets into the league and I add all the players to our rosters.
In the next few days, maybe even later today if I can finish them while Solomon is napping, I will post the end of season PowerPoint and the two word documents that I wrote up for fun into Discord.
I am considering two dates for the draft this year July 25th or August 22nd, either way the draft will be at 9pm EST/8pm Central, so put a temporary thing in your calendars with a notification so you don’t decide to schedule something else. Our Pastor is looking at trying to take our Teens to a Bible camp this summer, which would involve Rebekah and I going since we are the Youth leaders. We haven’t discussed dates yet, so once I know for sure I’ll settle on a date for our draft and let everyone know.
One last thing. If you do not want to continue on in the league next year that’s fine, there aren’t any hard feelings, I just ask that you please let me know early on if possible. I need to make sure I have enough time to find a replacement for you.
