2025 Week 11 Dynasty Recap: Somehow Uglier
What is happening? For the second week in a row a matchup set the record for lowest scoring matchup (this time it was Ryan vs Alex), not to mention Fred vs Curt landed at second on that list. We have one game, ONE GAME, this season that has made the top ten scoring matchups. Yet we’re trading out new lows like we’re playing a deck building game…poorly. Here are your week 11 results:
Fantasy Fairies 74.10 over Michael Style 67.32
Ryan is following right down that path the Storm Surge laid out for them last year. For the first time this year, Michael Style scored under 100 points, not only that, this was Michael Style’s worst scoring performance in the new scoring system. So, Ryan and Joel, did you guys hire the same refs the Chiefs use? Asking for a friend… This also happened to be Ryan’s worst scoring performance in the new system, but a win is a win.
Shadow Legion 117.82 over Space Rangers 109.56
Where to start? Well, on Thursday night Vrabel became my current second least favorite coach when he made sure Henderson punched it in three times, I’m just grateful he wasn’t more efficient on his runs. Then on Sunday Bijan Robinson did his best to counter that before Zac Robinson, my current least favorite coach, gave the third red zone touchdown run to Allgeier. Ja’Marr Chase got a suspension for spitting at Jalen Ramsey, didn’t really effect the game, just thought it was a fun little anecdote. And then on Monday night Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb powered past Brandon Aubrey to bring home the win for Anthony. I think that about sums it all up.
Bolt Battalion 114.80 over NUKEM 106.00
Matthew was so nice this week. He could’ve completely obliterated his father by putting up 173.90 points, he could’ve started guys like Kenneth Gainwell and Michael Wilson, but he decided not to rub it in. Super nice. The #1 pick of the expansion draft, Nico Collins, led the charge for the Bolt Battalion this week. Silver lining for NUKEM, TMac (29.00) just shot himself from middle of the rookie pack all the way up to in the running for Rookie of the Year.
Ferocious Felines 87.10 over Kade’s Dawgs 71.04
Derrick Henry and De’Von Achane did the heavy lifting for the Felines, while McBride tried to carry the Dawgs. It was the low performing individuals that made the biggest difference in this one. Fred had one player under 4 points, Curt had three, and that’s all she wrote.
Fear Itself 152.28 over The Empire 93.42
Driving back from New York yesterday, I didn’t finally check the scores until after the late afternoon games wrapped, but I knew after that second George Kittle touchdown I was grateful I wasn’t going against Nathan this week. Six scores for Allen, two for Kittle, and Gibbs hadn’t even gone yet, I figured it was complete devastation for whoever was going against him, and that was the right assumption. Josh Allen is your Player of the Week this week, in case anyone had any doubts. Bryar got a pair of 17+ point outings from Jameson Williams and Deebo Samuel (Samuel must’ve viewed this as a revenge game), but it didn’t matter cause for the second week in a row, Bryar’s opponent went for over 150 points.
ay_Bilat 156.44 over Storm Surge 90.84
I like how, with the game pretty much out of hand, San Fran said “how much is Trey winning by? Oh, that’s not enough” before making sure to give CMC another touchdown. Trey had 7 players score in the double-digits, they weren’t taking any chance of an upset happening. On the flip side, Storm Surge had just 3 players outplay Yahoo’s expectations. It looks like some relief from the injuries might be on the way though, too little too late unfortunately.
**A reminder that will remain here for all future iterations of the Playoff Outlook section, the “SOS” categories are ranked 1st to 10th, with 1st being the easiest and 12th being the hardest. I’ve combined the remaining records and remaining points for into one SOS using a z-score, which is that weird number you see. The more positive the number, the more difficult the remaining the schedule, the more negative the number, the easier the remaining schedule.**
Playoff Outlook:
1st seed: ay_Bilat Coach: Trey Record: 9-2
SOS Remaining: -1.121 (3rd)
Remaining opponents: Space Rangers (4-7), The Empire (2-9), Fantasy Fairies (8-3)
Outlook: Playoff spot is secured. Division could theoretically be locked up this week if you beat me, and Nathan beats Ryan. The best Ryan and Nathan could hope for after the is tie in overall record and division record, and your lead in the points tiebreaker is pretty large as it stands right now.
2nd seed: Michael Style Coach: Alex Record: 8-3
SOS Remaining: -0.647 (4th)
Remaining opponents: Ferocious Felines (7-4), NUKEM (3-8), Bolt Battalion (5-6)
Outlook: Well, that loss killed the momentum, but you’re still in the driver’s seat. A win this week would lock the division up for you, lose and you will need to win one more game than Fred does in the final two weeks.
3rd seed: Shadow Legion Coach: Anthony Record: 7-4
SOS Remaining: -1.359 (1st)
Remaining opponents: Kade’s Dawgs (3-8), Ferocious Felines (7-4), NUKEM (3-8)
Outlook: Division is secured, so playoff spot is secured. Easiest schedule remaining makes locking up a first round bye a possibility. But the points tiebreaker would make it pretty much impossible for you to pass Trey or Alex without finishing with a better record than them. So, you are a big fan of the Ferocious Felines this week. You would still need to pass Fred in points should you both tie in overall record, but that would be a lot easier than trying to pass Alex.
4th seed: Fantasy Fairies Coach: Ryan Record: 8-3
SOS Remaining: 1.702 (12th)
Remaining opponents: Fear Itself (7-4), Bolt Battalion (5-6), ay_Bilat (9-2)
Outlook: Hardest schedule remaining. Win any game and you are in the playoffs, or if the Bolt Battalion lose any game you would also lock up a playoff spot. You can still win the division too, but it starts this week, you need to beat Nathan.
5th Seed: Fear Itself Coach: Nathan Record: 7-4
SOS Remaining: -1.242 (2nd)
Remaining opponents: Fantasy Fairies (8-3), Kade’s Dawgs (3-8), Space Rangers (4-7)
Outlook: Division is kind of out of range unless you win out and Trey loses out. Playoff spot can pretty much be locked up with a win or a Bolt Battalion loss.
6th seed: Ferocious Felines Coach: Fred Record: 7-4
SOS Remaining: 0.778 (3rd)
Remaining opponents: Michael Style (8-3), Shadow Legion (6-4), Storm Surge (3-8)
Outlook: Win this week and you take over the lead for the Central division, then you just need to finish with the same number of total wins as Alex, while also making sure you beat Joel at the end of the year. You don’t hold as high of a points lead over Matthew as Nathan does, so you would likely have to either win 2 games, win 1 and Matthew would need to lose 1, or Matthew would need to lose two. In the event you both finish with the same record, then you would need to maintain your points lead (currently 21.02).
Name: Bolt Battalion Coach: Matthew Record: 5-6
SOS Remaining: 0.496 (8th)
Remaining opponents: Storm Surge (3-8), Fantasy Fairies (8-3), Michael Style (8-3)
Outlook: Best chance to make the playoffs is to win at least two more games than Fred does the rest of the way while also outscoring him by 21.03 points in that span. In order to take the points tiebreaker out of the equation you need to win out and Fred or Nathan or Ryan (you have a 117.20 point lead on his right now) need to lose out.
Name: Space Rangers Coach: Lance Record: 4-7
SOS Remaining: 1.332 (11th)
Remaining opponents: ay_Bilat (9-2), Storm Surge (3-8), Fear Itself (7-4)
Outlook: There is the slimmest of possibilities I get in. First, I need to win out. Second, I need Matthew to lose at least one game (two would be better), and I need Fred to lose out. Third, I need to outscore Fred by 44 points in the final 3 weeks, and if Matthew were to win two games, I would also need to outscore him by 22.89 points.
Name: Storm Surge Coach: Joel Record: 3-8
SOS Remaining: -0.262 (6th)
Remaining opponents: Bolt Battalion (5-6), Space Rangers (4-7), Ferocious Felines (7-4)
Outlook: Playoffs are out of reach for everyone from here down. So, we’re going to look at what you can do to play spoiler, and how you could move up in the draft. Spoiler: You can significantly hurt, if not destroy, Matthew’s playoff hopes with a win this week, you could potentially destroy any final hopes I still have by beating me next week (I would need to beat Trey for that to be a possibility though), so more likely you could ruin my chances at a better pick by losing to me next week, and you could potentially ruin Fred’s chances at winning the division in the final week. Draft Pick: This is for Ryan since he owns the pick, because Curt and Rob split, a three way tie between you three would come down to points, of which you are ahead of them by a lot. So, only way you move up the draft board is by losing more games than they do.
Name: NUKEM Coach: Rob Record: 3-8
SOS Remaining: 0.558 (9th)
Remaining opponents: The Empire (2-9), Michael Style (8-3), Shadow Legion (7-4)
Outlook: Spoiler: You could spoil some things for Alex and Anthony when it comes to playoff positioning, while also having a shot at ruining Alex’s hopes of winning his division. You could also put yourself in the running for the #1 pick by losing to Bryar this week. Draft Pick: Lose to Bryar this week and you are in the running for the #1 pick, beat Bryar this week and the best you could realistically hope for is the #2 pick, but you would need some help. You can maintain the #3 pick by losing the same number of games as, or more games than, Joel, and not winning more than 1 game than I do the rest of the way.
Name: Kade’s Dawgs Coach: Curt Record: 3-8
SOS Remaining: 0.182 (7th)
Remaining opponents: Shadow Legion (7-4), Fear Itself (7-4), The Empire (2-9)
Outlook: Spoiler: You can put a dent in Anthony’s chance at a first-round bye by winning this week (or end those hopes if you win and Alex wins), there’s also a future where you could steal the #1 pick from Bryar by losing to him in the final week. Draft Pick: Right now, you have the #2 pick thanks to the points tiebreaker, so lose the same number, or more games than Rob and Joel and you at the very least will keep that pick. Lose out, and have Rob win one game and you lock up the #1 pick, you could also lock up the #1 should all that happen but Rob also loses out by maintaining your lead for lowest point total between you, Rob, Bryar and Joel.
Name: The Empire Coach: Bryar Record: 2-9
SOS Remaining: -0.416 (5th)
Remaining opponents: NUKEM (3-8), ay_Bilat (9-2), Kade’s Dawgs (3-8)
Outlook: Spoiler: You can spoil both Rob and Curt’s chances at the #1 pick by losing to them. You could potentially destroy Trey’s chance to lock up the East division next week. Draft Pick: Lose out and the #1 is all yours. Beat Trey, but lose to Rob and Curt and the #1 is still yours AS LONG AS Joel wins any one of his remaining games. Win two or more games and you could slide as far as pick 5 depending on how the others do.
Here’s a look ahead at next week:
ay_Bilat (9-2) vs Space Rangers (4-7)
Trey dominates the series at 8-3. All playoff implications have been covered above. And while my hopes are very thin and it might be better for me to lose and try for a better pick, I’m not gonna just lay down. I’m aiming to ruin your chances to win this division, and I’m aiming to take a game back in our series cause 3-9 looks a whole lot worse than 4-8.
Fantasy Fairies (8-3) vs Fear Itself (7-4)
Nathan is up 5-2 in the series. Nathan has your number Ryan, but he’s also the one standing between you and your chance, not just at securing your first playoff berth, but at winning your first division title. Who wants it more?
Michael Style (8-3) vs Ferocious Felines (7-4)
Fred leads the series 8-5. Couldn’t have asked for better timing on this rivalry rematch. Fred ended Alex’s undefeated season bid earlier in the year, and now he has a chance to rip the division lead away from him.
Shadow Legion (7-4) vs Kade’s Dawgs (3-8)
Anthony is up 1-0. Anthony escaped with a win over Curt back in week 6, but this isn’t the same team he had at that point. This team has scored over 115 in three straight wins, while Curt’s team has scored under 85 in three out of their last four games (all losses). Looking like a David v Goliath situation.
Bolt Battalion (5-6) vs Storm Surge (3-8)
Joel leads 1-0. Joel’s second best game (135.04 points) of the entire season was the first time these two met, and it came while Matthew was at his worst (69.16 points). But Matthew hasn’t scored under 110 points in his last four games, and he smells blood in that drizzle that’s rolling in.
NUKEM (3-8) vs The Empire (2-9)
Bryar has a 9-6 lead in the series. Bryar leads it, but Rob got the win in their earlier matchup. Even this one is a game to watch thanks to the draft impact. Who’s beat-up, underperforming, bye week ridden squad will do worse?
That’s all for this week, good luck to you all in week 12!
