2025 Week 14 Dynasty Recap: No Drama
Sure, Matthew still had a chance to win his game going into Monday night, but after Fred went off, he would’ve needed nearly 48 points out of Saquon Barkley in order to steal away the 6th seed. That aside, the most drama we got this weekend was Alex taking away the 1 seed, and the battle for the #1 pick, which I will say, did have a pretty cool finish. Here are your week 14 results:
The Empire 83.56 over Kade’s Dawgs 83.52
What a fitting way for the fight for the #1 pick to end. Bryar was winning by .14 points heading into Monday night. Both teams had a single Chargers receiver left to play (Bryar had McConkey, Curt had Johnston). Neither guy cracked 2 points, Bryar ekes out the win (or rather Curt did(?) since he gets the #1 pick), and this game goes down as the CLOSEST finish in league history, beating out last year’s week 6 matchup between Rob and Joel, the one where Rob ended Joel’s bid at an undefeated season, by 0.02. Thanks for giving us some excitement on Monday night guys!
Michael Style 133.14 over Bolt Battalion 132.10
Alex and Trey broke their double-dutch routine out again as Alex leapfrogged him for most points, and in the process he took over the #1 seed! JSN was his top scorer, which feels like an of course, but he did just come off that 3.3 disappointment last week. RJ Harvey posted 19 points for the second straight week, so that’s pretty exciting! Matthew’s biggest failure this week was going away from Bo Nix after sticking with him for so long. Of course, it was complete happenstance that Daniel Jones went down this week. Luckily for him, that won’t be one of those choices that eat away at you, because Barkley didn’t hit the 33.6 points he would’ve needed had Matthew started Nix, in order to not just win this game, but also pass Fred in the points tiebreaker. But just to spoil that a little, if Matthew had started his full perfect lineup this week, he would be playoff bound.
Ferocious Felines 131.74 over Storm Surge 113.26
It would be quicker if we listed the players on Fred’s team that didn’t score 10+. What happened Mason Taylor, Daniel Carlson and Tampa Bay’s defense? The old man, Matthew Stafford that is, not my dad, proved he still has what it takes to lead his team in points. On Storm Surge’s side, how about Blake Corum?! He and his backfield mate, Kyren Williams, were the top two scores for Storm Surge this week, and helped them get over that 100 point mark for the first time since week 9.
Fantasy Fairies 95.30 over ay_Bilat 71.40
Ryan didn’t need to pull a rabbit out of his hat this week, but he did it anyways and it landed him a double-digit win season. What a turnaround! Jalen Hurts’ 5-turnover game couldn’t ruin this for him! If Trey knows one thing for certain after this week, it’s that he needs to be praying that CMC does not get hurt during his playoff run.
Shadow Legion 108.04 over NUKEM 76.22
It wasn’t pretty, but Anthony broke 100 points and got the win, so I wouldn’t be complaining. If only he had started Shedeur Sanders…I kid of course. Prescott got him this far, and he certainly was not the part of the reason this team fell flat (I’m looking at you Egbuka, Franklin and Rice). Speaking of flat, NUKEM rode it out with Daniels and it resulted in him getting hurt once again, J.J. McCarthy was slinging touchdowns, unfortunately Justin Jefferson was not involved in those, and Lamar Jackson decided this would be a good week to ignore Andrews and just pepper Likely. But Brown and Marks wrapped up their seasons on high notes!
Fear Itself 147.94 over Space Rangers 109.96
For some reason looking at our matchup made me think of the songs sung about David and Saul, “Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.” Lance had his 20s, and Nathan his 30s. Seriously, I had three (Aubrey, Fannin and Burrow) go for between 21 and 24, and Nathan was laughing at me while his three (Allen, Gibbs and Nacua) were racking up 32+. To be fair, I would’ve needed a little more than that; had my three equaled what his three did I still would’ve lost by about 3 points. Josh Allen is your Player of the Week, making that his third PotW of the year, making him the third player in league history to do that in a single season.
And here is the current draft order as it sits right now. The first six picks are locked in place. The * denotes playoff teams, which will adjust based on how the teams finish in the playoffs (excluding the 3rd and 5th place games). The only tie breaker needed for the non-playoff teams was the head-to-head results between Curt (lost twice to Bryar and once to Joel), Joel (lost to Bryar), and Bryar. For the playoff teams, if you lose, and whoever loses in the same round as you has the same record as you then first tiebreaker is head-to-head and second tiebreaker is points for (in other words, if Anthony loses in the same round as either Ryan or Nathan, or if Trey and Alex both lose in the second round, tiebreakers would be needed).

Here’s a look ahead at next week:
#3 Shadow Legion (10-4) vs #6 Ferocious Felines (8-6)
Anthony won the only meeting these two had this year, making him the only coach in the league Fred has yet to beat. Fun stat: Every year Fred has made the playoffs he has been a 5 or 6 seed, he is 3-2 in the opening round of the playoffs, but he is 2-0 when he’s the 6th seed (technically he is 5-1 as a 6th seed if you include the rest of the games from those playoffs including his 3rd place win in 2022).
#4 Fear Itself (10-4) vs #5 Fantasy Fairies (10-4)
Nathan leads the series 6-2, and they split 1-1 this year. Those games were a tale of two teams for Nathan. In their first matchup he had 80.60 points, and in their second matchup he had 143.32. Nathan is on a 6 game win streak, Ryan has won 4 out of his last 5. Who is gonna come out on top?
#9 NUKEM (4-10) vs #12 Kade’s Dawgs (3-11)
These two are tied at 5-5 in their series, and they split their games this year. Curt, I know this is a whole new adventure for you, first time missing the playoffs and all, but Rob is a grizzled veteran of the Consolation bracket, he can show you the ropes. Although, he is just 2-4 in the consolation playoffs, so maybe don’t take all his advice.
#10 Storm Surge (3-11) vs #11 The Empire (3-11)
Joel leads the series 2-1, and that one win by Bryar came back in week 8, in a very close shootout of all things. Joel is also a newcomer to this side of the postseason, but don’t worry, Bryar has plenty of experience down here as well. And he’s 3-3, so he might have a little more wisdom.
That’s all for this week, good luck to you all in the playoffs!
