2025 Week 4 Dynasty Recap: There's a First for Everything

2025 Week 4 Dynasty Recap: There's a First for Everything

We have SIX teams at 1-3. SIX! We haven’t had more than three teams in a single year at that record after week 4. Adding two teams doesn’t help the math to math, cause at that percentage it should’ve only been 4 teams (3.6 rounded up), and if you go the lazy route, then only 5. This is the second time that we won’t have any 0-4 teams going into week 5, the previous time was in 2023 when we actually had the most 2-2 teams (6) we’ve ever had. Also, Alex is the last undefeated team standing, marking the first time he’s held that title, and the first time his team has seen a win streak like this since weeks 9-13 of the 2023 season (the year he won the championship), one more win and he’ll tie that streak. Here are your week 4 results:

Bolt Battalion 142.94 over Ferocious Felines 139.26

We officially have a matchup from this season crack the top ten for highest scoring matchups. And it was the closest scoring game of the week. Matthew needed a little Bo Nix magic on Monday night, along with the Jets to keep Waddle and Achane in check. He got exactly that! Fred, the team as a whole played really well, but another Derrick Henry dud in a third straight loss seems like a strong correlation.

Fantasy Fairies 120.70 over Space Rangers 115.54

WHYYYYYY??? Ashton Jeanty chose this week to finally breakout. WHY?! He’s your Player of the Week by the way, with 32.50, marking two weeks in a row I’ve had to deal with the PotW. I hope that doesn’t turn into a thing. In all unbiasedness though, Jalen Hurts is still doing his thing, Jeanty just broke out, Odunze is a top 5 Receiver right now, and Dalton Kincaid is finally having his breakout season, Ryan could have a really dangerous team if A.J. Brown gets his act together. Justin Fields and Garrett Wilson did everything they could to bring home this win, and had the refs not been in Miami’s back pocket, they would’ve gotten me the win. Shoutout to Bijan for not giving up on me, enjoy your bye week, you deserve it.

ay_Bilat 129.30 over Fear Itself 123.36

Three players does not a team make, but both of these coaches tried to make it so this week, and they outscored a majority of the league in the process. Trey had Pickens, Mahomes and CMC all go for 23+. Nathan had Nacua, Doubs and Allen all do the same. So technically, it was what the other players did that helped make the difference. If you want to get really technical, it was the defenses. Green Bay had -1, exactly 7 points behind what the Chargers did for Trey, plus Nathan had Philly on his bench. Tyreek Hill became the latest victim of the early season injury raid, with a dislocated knee, if you haven’t seen it, don’t. At least it wasn’t CMC, am I right Trey?

Michael Style 115.58 over Storm Surge 95.82

Alex was sweatin’ that Denver defense going into Monday night. He had Breece Hall still left to go himself, and he ended up having a solid game. But to be fair, Cincinnati (Denver’s opponent) had just given up 30 points (tied for the most ever in league history) to the Vikings defense last week, so I get it. All around solid team performance for Michael Style with 7 players surpassing the 10 point mark. A little good news, bad news, worse news for the Storm Surge. Good news, Omarion Hampton doubled down on his big week last week with a 25 point outing this time around. Bad news, the bosses upstairs would like to see their high priced coach in their office this morning. Worse news, MetLife claimed another victim, and this time it was superstar Malik Nabers.

Shadow Legion 125.46 over The Empire 92.98

And just like that Anthony takes over the West. The team showed out for their first 100+ point performance, led by…hold on just making sure I read that right…yep, Dak Prescott. Drake London also stepped up in a big way to help cover the CeeDee Lamb loss. Not gonna lie, after Jason Myers and Seattle’s defense combined for 25 points on Thursday night, I was like, “Oh no, not again.” But thankfully the rest of your team decided to support them this week. I tried reaching out to Bryar for further comment on the Lamar Jackson situation, in what is now being called the “fake an injury”-gate, but he was unwilling to speak on the matter, just reiterating that they are “handling it internally.” I wonder if they’re also handling the Ladd McConkey situation internally too…

NUKEM 134.82 over Kade’s Dawgs 99.32

NUKEM, or should I say BiPolar Express(?), finally showed their good side this week with five players scoring over 15 points. Somehow Detroit’s defense still managed to lead the way though. Not even included among those five was Cam Skattebo who got a heavy workload, which is a good sign given his opponents over the next few weeks. A week after turning the ship back in the right direction, Kade’s Dawgs sank back below 100. Two bright shining stars though in Quentin Johnston (continuing his breakout season), and Quinshon Judkins!

But wait, there’s more!!! Here is the current draft order as it sits right now. The * denotes playoff spots. Tie breakers for non-playoff teams will be determined by regular season head-to-head results, with the loser getting the better pick. In the event of a three-way tie, or an instance of an even 1-1 split on the season, the tie breaker will be points scored, with the team who had the least points scored getting the better pick.

1)      NUKEM – Coach Rob (1-3)
2)      Storm Surge – Coach Joel (1-3)
3)      Kade’s Dawgs – Coach Curt (1-3)

6)      Ferocious Felines – Coach Fred (1-3)

12)   *Michael Style – Coach Alex (4-0)

Here’s a look ahead at next week:

Michael Style (4-0) vs The Empire (1-3)

Alex holds an 8-5 series lead. And as if things couldn’t get worse for Bryar, Alex has won 7 straight games in this series. The last time Bryar beat him, Roethlisberger was about halfway through his final season.

ay_Bilat (3-1) vs Bolt Battalion (3-1)

A new one for you Matthew, so here’s the breakdown on your opponent. He has the second highest win percentage among the coaches that have been in the league for 4 or more seasons (.630). He won the very first league title back in 2019, and has since lost one championship and finished 3rd in two other seasons. And he’s only missed the playoffs once (last year).

Fear Itself (3-1) vs Shadow Legion (2-2)

And new one for you Anthony. Here’s some info on Nathan. He has the highest win percentage among the coaches that have been in the league for 4 or more seasons (.673). He has two championship wins, one championship loss, and one third place finish. And he’s only ever missed the playoffs once (the very first season).

Fantasy Fairies (3-1) vs Ferocious Felines (1-3)

Fred leads this series 3-0. Ryan, there are three coaches from the original 8 that still remain, that you have not beaten. Fred is one of them. You’ve played each other once a year since Ryan entered the league, and the one matchup that Ryan should use as fuel for his team was the week 13 matchup of the 2023 season. Had Ryan won that matchup he would’ve finished the season 8-6, forcing Fred into a 6-8 finish, and he would’ve been in the playoffs that year.

Space Rangers (1-3) vs NUKEM (1-3)

We are dead even at 4-4. Not a whole lot of heat in our past matchups though. You pulled off the win last year in your sprint to the end of the season as you attempted to sneak into the playoffs after starting the year 0-4. Now we’re fighting it out just to try and keep our heads above water.

Kade’s Dawgs (1-3) vs Storm Surge (1-3)

These long-time friends, long-ago Madden competitors (back when they were block shaped), and historical fantasy football rivals have not had much of a competition in this league. Joel leads the series 3-0. That’s right, he got the full clean sweep on Curt in his only season in the league. And all of them were blowouts, closest game was a 22 point difference. There’s your fuel Curt.

That’s all for this week, good luck to you all in week 5!
