Dynasty League 2026 Week 2: Polar Opposites
It seems some of us might be waking up, while others may have burned all there energy up in just one week. Either way, it was a much more competitive week, so congrats to almost everyone on that! This week also featured a new addition to the top ten highest scoring matchups (Alex vs Trey comes in at 2nd) and the top ten lowest scoring matchups (Joel vs Rob comes in at 3rd). Plus, there were two games with a differential under 10 points and two that were 30+ point blowouts. Here are your week 2 results:
Storm Surge 78.38 over NUKEM 77.94
When these two face off we should just assume that it’s going to be a very close finish. Three of their four matchups have now been decided by 1.34 points or less. Their very first game still ranks 2nd for closest differential at 0.06. And now there’s this one with a Monday night thriller that left us feeling like we were letdown, but at least it was close! First, the Giants aren’t able to do anything on the ground or through the air with Skattebo, Likely or Nabers, and the Rams are having much more success passing than running, leaving Williams and Corum in the cold. Then Nabers exits with an injury. Then more of the same (outside of Williams’ receiving touchdown). And finally Williams and Corum are able to get enough going on the ground that Joel was able to sneak past Rob. Other notable events: Jayden Daniels is hurt once again, Alec Pierce is hurt once again, and Justin Herbert looked awful against the…*double-checks notes*…yeah I guess that’s right, against the Raiders.
Bolt Battalion 119.68 over Shadow Legion 110.06
The game above was a closer outcome, but this was the Game of the Week. Both teams over 110 points, and it came down to Sunday night. Matthew, down by 8, just Harrison Butker remaining, and he goes out and puts up the 7th most points in this matchup. Plus, the game sealing kick actually came at the start of the 4th quarter, after he missed a Field Goal in the second quarter that would’ve won Matthew the game. Made him sweat a bit. Despite Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb’s heroic efforts it was not enough to get Anthony his first win of 2026. The presence of that #1 pick draws ever closer to my fingertips! Sing it with me Anthony, “just keep losing, just keep losing, just keep losing, losing, losing, what do we do we lose, lose, lose!”
Fantasy Fairies 103.16 over The Empire 91.20
Both of these teams exploded in week 1 and then came crashing back down hard this week. But one of them still had to win, even though neither seemed like they really wanted it. The big difference maker for Ryan was sneaking Rashod Bateman into his second Flex. His 18.3 points were second most on the team, the difference came in who he started over, Makai Lemon, resulting in a +16.9 differential. In other words, had Ryan not made that change to his lineup he would’ve lost by almost 5 points. Bryar left everything the same, and who could blame him, that collective group went for 150 in week 1, but there’s several spots where he’s going to think, “if I had just started this guy instead.” Don’t think like that, you’ll drive yourself mad if you do.
Fear Itself 109.42 over Ferocious Felines 93.08
Josh Allen has continued his MVP ways to open the year, finishing top three in both weeks. If he keeps this up he’ll have his 5th league MVP at the end of this season. Can you rename a trophy after an active player? Nathan has to have a little bit of concern though as once again his team relied very heavily on Allen and Jahmyr Gibbs, not sustainable given the point totals others in the league have posted through two weeks. Which brings us to Fred. No hat-trick for Henry and the team score dipped. There’s definite concern for his other stars. Achane is seeing the touches but not able to do much with them cause that team is just bad (or if you would prefer, they’re young and need to grow). Metcalf’s been in the single digits both weeks, and Mayfield has been one of the most disappointing starting QBs in our league. Irving has looked pretty good, but he’s not posting the same explosive numbers he did two years ago, prior to the injury. There’s not a ton going for him on the bench either, it may just end up being one of those years. Shoot me a message if you want to start diving into the 2027 draft early!
Michael Style 175.42 over ay_Bilat 143.08
Alex’s starting QB, and the week 1 Player of the Week, went down with an injury after doing very little. Didn’t matter though, he just ran the wildcat the rest of the way and almost matched his week 1 total. He became the first team in league history to start a season with 140+ points in weeks 1 and 2. He’s just the third team to score 130+ points in weeks 1 and 2, Rob in 2022 and Bryar in 2024 are the other two. I’ve got a feeling it’ll be a while before we see another team go for 175+ in back-to-back weeks to start a season. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is our Player of the Week! Which reminds me, this is also the first time the first two Players of the Week of a season have been from the same team. If you’re playing Alex next, curl up in a ball and protect your neck. Trey should be happy about one thing, this was a MUCH better showing than he had in week 1, even if you exclude Stafford funneling passes to Davante Adams because Puka Nacua was out.
Space Rangers 125.58 over Kade’s Dawgs 91.42
Kenneth Walker continued his hot start to the season, and this time Ja’Marr Chase, Garrett Wilson and Brandon Aubrey decided to join him! Bijan fell off, but my Space Rangers were able to get the job done anyway. Not to throw salt in the wound, but Curt would’ve had the second highest scoring team of the week had he started his perfect lineup (3rd highest if everyone had started their perfect lineups but just 4 points less than the 2nd highest), and he would’ve easily won this game. He’s got the players; he just needs to get the configuration situated.

A look ahead at Week 3:
Fear Itself (2-0) vs Bolt Battalion (2-0)
These two old friends met just once last year, and Nathan won that game. Now they meet as the only 2-0 vs 2-0 matchup of the week. Our early favorite for Game of the Week if you will.
Michael Style (2-0) vs The Empire (1-1)
Alex has a healthy lead in this series at 9-5. And it gets worse for Bryar, Alex has won EIGHT straight in this series. The last time Bryar beat Alex, Dalvin Cook, Tyler Lockett and DeAndre Hopkins were his star players (it was week 8 of our 2021 season).
Fantasy Fairies (2-0) vs Shadow Legion (0-2)
Just the one meeting between the two last year, it was week 2 and Ryan won. Which also made Ryan the first coach in the league to beat Anthony.
Space Rangers (1-1) vs NUKEM (1-1)
I’m up only slightly, 5-4 in one of the two father-in-law vs son-in-law matchups in the league. Recency bias is in my favor; I’ve won 3 out of our last 4 encounters.
Storm Surge (1-1) vs Kade’s Dawgs (0-2)
Joel has dominated the meeting of the leatherheads 5-0. Can Curt right the ship, or will his misfortunes against the Leach household continue?
Ferocious Felines (0-2) vs ay_Bilat (0-2)
Trey has a firm grip on this matchup 10-7. Two old west rivals. In their first, and so far only, meeting after the divisional realignment, it was Trey who enjoyed the sweet taste of victory in a monster blowout: 148.64 to 63.62.
