Lance's 2022 Week 11 Predictions
Every week I’ll be putting out my predictions, they will include my winner for each game with a brief explanation, and 1 start and 1 sit for each fantasy football position. As usual, I’ll start with my picks:
Overall Record: 73-60-1
Tennessee over Green Bay
Green Bay exposed Dallas' defense and they can actually take advantage of the Titans in the same way. But Tennessee has Derrick Henry and the Packers have a bottom five run defense.
Chicago over Atlanta
With the way Fields is playing the Bears could win this easily, but as they proved last week, their defense can also cost them games. I think the Bears open up the offense a little more to try and counter what their defense is going to give up.
Baltimore over Carolina
Baltimore is rested and ready to take on one of the worst teams in the league. I expect Carolina to put up a fight, but Baltimore will pull away either thanks to a monster game from Jackson, or from forced turnovers by their defense...maybe both.
Buffalo over Cleveland
Cleveland is going to be a victim of timing, with Buffalo playing ticked off after losing two straight and going from the favorites of the AFC to the current 6 seed.
Houston over Washington
Washington is coming off a massive win and that usually opens up the door for a major letdown game, which is exactly what this would be.
Philadelphia over Indianapolis
Philly comes out fired up after their loss to Washington and rips the Colts to shreds.
NY Jets over New England
The Jets look for revenge after failing to beat the Pats at home three weeks ago.
New Orleans over LA Rams
Tough one to call, but I think the Saints get the better of the Kupp-less Rams.
NY Giants over Detroit
The Lions are the ultimate wildcard this season because we really don't know which version of the team is going to show up. I'm taking the more stable Giants.
Denver over Las Vegas
The Raiders have been awful in so many different ways. Denver's defense shuts down the only part of the team that's been playing decently well.
Dallas over Minnesota
Similar to Washington, Minnesota is coming off a huge win, but more than that it was a physically tolling, long lasting, hard fought win. They've also struggled against Dallas in recent years (1-3 since 2016). I think Dallas walks out with a much needed win.
Cincinnati over Pittsburgh
T.J. Watt being back definitely gives Pitt a chance to win, but I like Cincy's offense to find a way to get the job done.
Kansas City over LA Chargers
I thought about picking LAC, but their offense hasn't looked like itself and the defense is still a liability.
San Francisco over Arizona
The Niners looked like they may fall apart against the Chargers last week before the defense went into lockdown mode and didn't allow a point in the second half. I think they'll be able to keep the Cards in check too.
Fantasy Starts and Sits
Record for QBs, TEs, and Ds is based off if they finished top 12 or not
Record for RBs and WRs is based on if they finished top 24 or not.
QB Record: 13-5
QB Start: Russell Wilson vs Las Vegas
Wilson's best, and really only valuable, fantasy performance this season was against the Raiders earlier in the year. Nothing's improved from Vegas, so I expect we'll see a similar outing from Wilson this go around.
QB Sit: Kyler Murray vs San Francisco
Provided he plays this isn't a good matchup. Plus, if his hamstring was bad enough to keep him out last week, than I doubt it will be good enough for him to keep plays alive with his legs this week.
RB Record: 10-8
RB Start: Gus Edwards vs Carolina
He's expected to play this week, and may be available on your waiver wire. His first outing this season he carried the ball 16 times and scored twice, he's definitely worth the start this week.
RB Sit: Najee Harris vs Cincinnati
He's banged up, he's not playing well, Cincy is a tough matchup for RBs in fantasy, and when he played them back in week 1 he managed less than 10 points. Bench him if you can afford to.
WR Record: 7-11
WR Start: D.J. Moore at Baltimore
I think Mayfield is going to come out firing, wanting to prove the doubters wrong and all, which bodes well for Moore. Plus, Baltimore gives up a lot of fantasy points to Receivers.
WR Sit: Garrett Wilson at New England
I know he had a very nice performance against the Pats three weeks ago, but I think Belichick is going to come with a game plan to shut him down and force the Jets to target someone else.
TE Record: 8-10
TE Start: Greg Dulcich vs Las Vegas
It didn't work out last week and that's my fault, but like I said for my QB start, Wilson took care of the Raiders previously, and Vegas allows plenty of points to the position. So, I'm doubling down.
TE Sit: Kyle Pitts vs Chicago
He's been a major disappointment and some of you have already started benching him, but most of you are still starting him. He should be treated like every other TE not named Kelce and Andrews (when healthy); play him based on his matchup. This is a bad matchup, so he should be benched.
Defense Record: 9-9
Defense Start: New York Jets at New England
They gave up 22 points to the Pats back in week 8 and yet they still scored 8 points in fantasy. The Pats are giving up the 10th most points to defenses in fantasy, so the Jets are a start this week.
Defense Sit: Green Bay Packers vs Tennessee
I don't see the Titans allowing the Packers to force them into a shootout and that would be the best chance the Packers defense would have at scoring fantasy points (Tannehill throwing the ball a lot).
