Lance's 2022 Week 3 Predictions

Lance's 2022 Week 3 Predictions

Every week I’ll be putting out my predictions, they will include my winner for each game with a brief explanation, and 1 start and 1 sit for each fantasy football position. As usual, I’ll start with my picks:

Overall Record: 15-16-1

Cleveland over Pittsburgh

Give me Garrett and Clowney wrecking Pitt’s game plan early and often. We could see a Pickett sighting after halftime if I’m right.

Carolina over New Orleans

Rhule is coaching for his job so his players fire on all cylinders for their coach.

Chicago over Houston

I’m not really sure what to make of either of these teams, so I’m gonna go home team, with Fields getting the job done with his legs.

Kansas City over Indianapolis

These two teams have been playing on completely different levels, difficult to pick Indy even with them at home.

Buffalo over Miami

I was very tempted to take Miami, and I think they will keep this one interesting, but Buffalo’s got all the pieces while Miami has a lot of excitement but isn’t a complete team yet.

Minnesota over Detroit

Don’t sleep on the Lions, they always play Minnesota tough and they’re coming off a major win, but it’s in Minnesota and the Vikings can move the ball well against a defense that's still finding themselves.

Baltimore over New England

The Ravens offense is a monster right now and Mac Jones and company don’t have the same firepower as Miami to keep themselves in this one.

Cincinnati over NY Jets

I think the Jets are going to get lost in that huge come from behind victory and Cincy is going to take advantage.

Tennessee over Las Vegas

Two 0-2 teams that I thought for sure would each have at least one win at this point. I think the Titans make sure they ride Derrick Henry to a win in this one.

Philadelphia over Washington

Washington is not going to be able to stop the superpowered offense the Eagles have been rolling out.

LA Chargers over Jacksonville

The Jags have looked good through two games, but they also haven’t played a team of the Chargers caliber. If we learn this weekend that Herbert will in fact not be playing I may reconsider.

LA Rams over Arizona

That was quite the comeback by the Cards, but they don’t have the defense to slow down the Rams attack.

Atlanta over Seattle

Atlanta has played really well through two weeks, especially offensively, while what we saw out of Seattle last week is what I think they’ll be closer to all season. Atlanta takes down the Hawks, sorry 12s.

Tampa Bay over Green Bay

No Mike Evans, Chris Godwin or Julio Jones? It’s almost like Brady will be playing with a Receiving corps similar to what Rodgers has used through two games. Unfortunately for Rodgers that O-Line is still a major concern and the Bucs have plenty of pass rushers to take advantage.

Denver over San Francisco

Garoppolo is back! Didn’t matter much last week with how poorly Seattle played, but it could make a difference this week. I’m gonna stick with Denver though and hope Hackett starts making sense with his playcalling.

NY Giants over Dallas

Dallas got an emotional win last week sans-Dak, but the Giants are rolling too and defensively they’ve got the ability to shutdown Cooper Rush.

Fantasy Starts and Sits

Record for QBs, TEs, and Ds is based off if they finished top 12 or not

Record for RBs and WRs is based off if they finished top 24 or not.

QB Record: 3-1

QB Start: Joe Burrow at NY Jets

I know he’s off to a rough start, but the Jets currently allow 339.5 YPG and 27 PPG, meaning Burrow and the offense should have an easier time moving the ball this week, and scoring.

QB Sit: Tom Brady vs Green Bay

I was right last week and I’m doubling down on it. He’s working with a B-tier Receiver group and Green Bay’s secondary is no joke.

RB Record: 2-2

RB Start: Khalil Herbert vs Houston

I’m gonna dive a little bit and I might get burned for it, but Houston’s run defense is easily beat and Herbert has been very efficient with his carries (6.4 YPC so far), if you got him and are willing to take a shot on your flex spot, do it.

RB Sit: Aaron Jones at Tampa Bay

This could come back to haunt me too. Tampa has had (and continues to have) one of the top run defenses in the league for some time now, and this game could easily swing back in A.J. Dillon’s favor.

WR Record: 1-3

WR Start: Elijah Moore vs Cincinnati

Cincy’s secondary still has some weak links and after Garrett Wilson's performance last week I wouldn’t be surprised if the attention shifts in his direction.

WR Sit: DK Metcalf vs Atlanta

It seems like a plus matchup, but Metcalf is not someone to rely on regardless. He’s a deep threat, not much of a route runner and Geno Smith is not Russell Wilson when it comes to the deep pass.

TE Record: 2-2

TE Start: Tyler Higbee at Arizona

Clearly Stafford is enjoying throwing to him, he has 20 targets through two weeks, and Arizona is allowing the most points to Tight Ends so far, it’s the perfect storm.

TE Sit: Zach Ertz vs LA Rams

I’m gonna go to the other sideline. Ertz has seen a lot of opportunities to open this season, but the Rams know how to lock down the Tight End position.

Defense Record: 2-2

Defense Start: LA Chargers vs Jacksonville

There’s a pretty good chance the Chargers were dropped prior to last week, go get them if they’re still available, they’ve got all the weapons defensively to make this game an absolute nightmare for Lawrence.

Defense Sit: Buffalo Bills at Miami

I know Buffalo’s defense is top three in fantasy land this season, but Miami just showed us their offense is not to be taken lightly.
