Lance's 2023 Wildcard Predictions

Lance's 2023 Wildcard Predictions

Every week I’ll be putting out my predictions, they will include my winner for each game with a brief explanation, and 1 start and 1 sit for each fantasy football position. As usual, I’ll start with my picks:

Head-to-Head record: 160-95

Overall ATS: 101-90

Note: I took weeks 2-5 off from picking ATS in order to wait for the stats to process out more.

Note: I'm using the spreads given by FanDuel, just to keep it uniform, though I would recommend if you're going to be betting on specific games to find the sportsbook that's giving half points so you can avoid pushes.

Houston over Cleveland (ATS: HOU +2.5)

When these two played during the regular season Houston lost by double-digits, but they didn't have their star QB. Stroud helps them take care of business this time around.

Kansas City over Miami (ATS: KC -3.5)

Miami did this to themselves. They could've been playing at home in 70 degree weather, but instead they're on the road in what is projected to be single digit weather, maybe even below zero. The stat I saw was that Miami is 0-10 in their 10 most recent games below 40, and that lines up with my projected numbers.

Buffalo over Pittsburgh (ATS: PIT -10)

This is a tough one for Pitt and it's going to be even more difficult without Watt. My numbers favor Pitt to cover, but I have my concerns about that.

Dallas over Green Bay (ATS: GB +7.5)

Dallas has been a beast at home and my numbers favor that to continue in the win department at least, they favor Green Bay to cover. With how Love is playing this should be a fun game to watch.

Detroit over LA Rams (ATS: DET -3.5)

I am sticking with my mid-season Super Bowl prediction of Baltimore over Detroit, and thankfully my numbers favor Detroit below! Jared Goff gets the opportunity to bounce the team that traded him away.

Tampa Bay over Philadelphia (ATS: TB +2.5)

My numbers favor Philly all the way around. But my gut is telling me Tampa pulls off what would amount to an upset despite being the higher seed and home team, so that's the direction I went with it.
