Lance's Week 1 College Football Player Performances: FCS

Lance's Week 1 College Football Player Performances: FCS

I'm going to start this out with the same explanation I gave for the FBS article. First, the only players that will make my top tens are guys that are draft eligible in 2026. For example, Louisville Running Back Isaac Brown would have been #1 for the FBS RB board, but he's a true sophomore, so you won't see him below. Second, my original plan was to base these rankings solely on how those players performed in the given week. However, after going through this for week 1, I realized that the numbers can get severely strewn for certain positions just from lack of opportunity in one area (especially defensively). So, each week the rankings will be based on each player's cumulative stats for the season. And third, for right now I've got two separate ranking articles, FBS and FCS, but when conference play really picks up, I'll separate FBS into Power 4 and Group of 6. And fourth, the score is based on the formula for their position, so it's not necessarily a 1-100 possibility, it could be 1-200 or 150, or some random number like 136.82. In other words, just look at it as a way to compare the players to each other and not to some sort of invisible line. This will be the only week I write something up here, from here on it'll just be the rankings.
