Proceed with Caution: TE

Dallas Goedert: From weeks 14-16 (the three weeks that Hurts threw the ball 30 or more times) Goedert averaged 3.7 receptions, 40 yards and no touchdowns. Maybe with a full offseason working together as QB1 and TE1 they’ll figure out their rapport and things will improve. Or maybe Hurts prefers to throw to his Receivers causing Goedert to slip away into fantasy oblivion. It’s something you should at least consider on draft day.

Eric Ebron: He plays in an offense that has a loaded Receiver corps, an over the hill QB and he’s coming off a mediocre season. Plus, the Steelers just used a second round pick on Pat Freiermuth, who will eat into Ebron’s target share as long as he’s healthy. I think at best Ebron is a bye week fill-in option if necessary.

O.J. Howard: Howard’s coming off a ruptured achilles injury. Those are incredibly difficult to come back from. Not to mention Gronkowski started to look like his old self the more last season wore on. I’d avoid Howard on draft day and use that late round pick on a sleeper at the position, unless we see some crazy good play from him in the preseason, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts out the year on the PUP list.
