Under-the-Radar Transfer Portal Additions

*Update 2/18/2026: Prepping for next season, I went through and updated all of my lists to work off z-score formulas in order to match the change that I made to my draft boards. And then I realized that I wanted to do an article looking at who crushed it in the transfer portal (coming soon), but in order to use the new system, I figured I should probably update this article to match.

*Update 2/25/2026: While working on that other article I realized an area I could further improve my system. I came up with a way to account for the level of competition. Had to fix this to match, and decided to just put all names that fit the requirements in a table.

I never got out my final weekly rankings for this past college football season, and at this point I feel it's too late. Originally I decided I would wait until after the Army-Navy game, but then I realized the first bowl game was played on the same day. So, I decided to wait until the entire bowl/playoff season ended, but by then I was tied up with other things. I just finished getting the rankings done a couple days ago. Too late right? Oh well, live and learn. I decided to use those final rankings to take a look at the transfer portal and see if anyone is getting some potential hidden gems. My criteria for this article was this:

1. A player couldn't be within the top 30 of their position for 247's Transfer Portal Rankings.
2. Because I found a way to account for level of competition (see the 2/25 update above), all players had to be within the top 30% of their positional rankings on my board.

Without further ado, here is my list:

Note: Some of the player's rankings are from the IOL Transfer Portal board, but because they played almost exclusively Tackle last season they land here for me.

Offensive Guard

Note: Some of the player's rankings are from the OT Transfer Portal board, but because they played almost exclusively Guard last season they land here for me.

Center

Edge Rusher

Note: Kevontay Wells #144 on my board and #124 for the transfer portal, and Dean Miller #172 on my board and #101 for the transfer portal, left UL Monroe and Kansas respectively, but neither has committed elsewhere yet.

Defensive Line

Note: Traevon Mitchell was #98 in my rankings and #200 for the transfer portal rankings, he's leaving USF but hasn't committed anywhere yet.

Linebacker

Cornerback

Note: Quincy Briggs (#122) is #233 on the transfer portal board, he left Georgetown but hasn't committed elsewhere yet. Ken Moore Jr. (#58) is in the same boat, except he's listed at 234 on the Safety board and he left Western Carolina. There are also a handful on the board above that are in the Safety rankings for the transfer portal, but are on my Corner rankings cause they all spent a majority of their time at Corner in 2025.

Note: Colin Douglas is #37 on my board and #246 on the transfer portal board, he left Saint Francis (PA), but has not yet committed elsewhere.
