Dynasty League 2026 Week 7: Rivalry Week
Rivalry week is over, and a couple of the games were actually pretty fun to watch. Most were giant disappointments though. Here are your week 7 results:
The Empire 108.32 over ay_Bilat 106.20
Bryar thought all was lost when Pickens scored in the 2nd quarter. But the Javonte Williams/Dallas Goedert duo made sure he was able to pull through. I’d say it was all Williams, but sans-Goedert Bryar would’ve lost, even if he had started his highest eligible scorer off his bench. This set back may have cost Trey a real shot at the East with Nathan now holding a 3-game lead, plus the first tiebreaker in division record, and a large lead in the second tiebreaker (points). He’s gonna need some help in the back half of the year.
Michael Style 109.30 over Space Rangers 103.88
Alex’s last 36 hours have been fantastic. First, JSN outscored Kenneth Walker by almost 20 points on Sunday night giving him a substantial lead going into Monday night, then Brandon Aubrey fell 6 points short of pulling off the upset on Monday night, and finally, and definitely the best news of all, his son was born this morning. Congratulations on all of that, though I do wish I could’ve spoiled the win for you. I’d like to put out an APB, if anyone has seen the real Bijan Robinson, Garrett Wilson, and Ja’Marr Chase please call the number at the bottom of your screen, thank you.
Fantasy Fairies 115.58 over Ferocious Felines 89.50
The Fantasy Fairies snapped the streak! This was their first game over 100 point since week 2. Geno Smith was exactly what the doctor ordered as he and Omar Cooper Jr. combined for 41.48 points. Crazy to think that Ryan had another rookie Receiver hit 20 points on his bench, Caleb Douglas, and fellow rookie Makai Lemon put up 16.20 on Monday night! The future is looking bright for the Fairies. Things are looking grim for the Felines. Over half the team scored under 7 points, including Derrick Henry for the second straight week, he needs Lamar Jackson back to help open things up. On the bright side, Fred has a one game lead over me in the race for Jeremiah Smith, and a pretty big lead in the points tiebreaker if it were to come to that.
Fear Itself 111.66 over NUKEM 72.42
Just a regular ol’ weekend for Fear Itself. Josh Allen on bye, but Love did well enough in his stead. Gibbs had his worst week of the season, but the team overall played well enough. And even if they hadn’t, it would’ve been really difficult to lose this one with how bad NUKEM played. It’s probably a bad sign when your 3rd string Quarterback leads your team in scoring.
Shadow Legion 164.18 over Storm Surge 120.94
Perfect time for Anthony to have his highest scoring game in this league! Not only that, but it was also his first week this year eclipsing the 120-point mark. Seven players up and over 15 points, with rookie KC Concepcion among them, giving this team hope in the youth heading into the back half of the season. The Storm Surge at least went down swinging, more than we can say for some of these other teams…Drake Maye got the team off to a hot start on Thursday night, but the rest of the team was unable to fully match his energy.
Kade’s Dawgs 152.02 over Bolt Battalion 75.32
I think the Dawgs might have been sick of being one of the higher scoring teams in the league and still down the board in the race to the playoffs. So, this week they left no doubt about who was pulling it off, with Player of the Week, Tony Pollard, leading the charge! This game also joined the ranks of the biggest blowouts, coming in at #6. This was a rough one for Matthew. All of his biggest scorers, Purdy, Watson and Collins, had down weeks while Cook was on bye.
Here’s a look ahead at next week:
Fear Itself (7-0) vs Storm Surge (3-4)
Joel leads the series 2-1. Nathan is on the verge of breaking his own record for most wins to start a season (7 in 2022, and now 7 this year). I was the one who ended Nathan’s undefeated bid in 2022, can Joel carry on the Leach legacy?
Michael Style (6-1) vs NUKEM (3-4)
Rob has the edge over his son-in-law 7-6. Though it is probably worth noting that Alex has won 5 straight against Rob.
ay_Bilat (4-3) vs Bolt Battalion (3-4)
Trey won their only matchup last year, and it was a 51-point domination, the biggest blowout of that week.
The Empire (4-3) vs Ferocious Felines (1-6)
Bryar is up 7-6, but Fred has won 4 out of their last 5.
Kade’s Dawgs (3-4) vs Fantasy Fairies (3-4)
Curt has dominated Ryan 6-1. Ryan’s only win came last year in week 8(!) by 27 points.
Shadow Legion (3-4) vs Space Rangers (2-5)
Anthony won our only matchup last season. It was a nailbiter though, with Anthony needing Monday night to pull out the 8-point win. If I lose this one I will snap my longest losing streak (currently at 4).
Half the regular season is over, so as a special treat here’s how everyone’s strength of schedule looks for the remainder of the season, from easiest to hardest (I also put it on a scale from 0-100 to make it easier to read):
1) Bryar: 2.14
2) Alex: 15.90
3) Trey: 27.48
4) Matthew: 36.42
5) Fred: 42.22
6) Rob: 49.56
7) Anthony: 58.54
8) Curt: 61.54
9) Lance: 63.19
10) Nathan: 64.91
11) Joel: 90.69
12) Ryan: 94.79
That’s all for this week, good luck to you all in week 8!
